Fin mars 2018, me voici au Canada.

After five years of extensive study of architecture at ULB Lacambre-Horta, I graduated in 2012 with both a bachelors and masters degree in the field.
Following my graduation, I gained eighteen months of work experience in my home town of Brussels, Belgium. This enabled me to get enough experience and confidence following my studies, to comfortably get to know my field from a professional standpoint. After this was achieved, I decided to take a short break to indulge my love of culture, and to explore the world and travel. I felt before it was time for me to settle down and begin my career, I must experience alternate ways of life from all around the world.
First I flew to South East Asia where I worked and travelled to Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar and Indonesia. It was in Laos where I had the good fortune of an opportunity to work (partially) within my field within something called ‘The Gibbons experience’. This was a fantastic opportunity where I assisted in the construction of trees houses, sometimes 500ft high, access with zip lines, in the lush jungles of Laos. An isolating experience, this was a childhood dream of mine, to experience a working environment so far away from everything. After six months of travelling the seven countries, I completely fell in love with this way of living, and the different methods and styles of architecture used in the different cultures.
In September 2014, I decided to pursue my ‘study of life’ further, and I flew to Australia, where the stunning natural beauty and nature captivated my interest. The vast empty spaces and the shy architectural styles really intrigued me, and I spent my two years there really exploring the landscape and making a personal study of the country, an escape from the fast paced city life.
In October 2016, Nepal called to me. And it was here that I participated in another building project called ‘All Hands’. This was an incredible experience where we built two schools in the Nuwakot province, an area affected by the devastating earthquakes of 2015. It was a fulfilling experience, where I was able to help both physically and practically with my architectural knowledge, to aid the small community in rebuilding their quality of life. A mesmerising country of contrast, colours and spirit, amongst the welcoming locals, I felt at home.
In 2017 I decided to settle in Tangier, in the north of Morocco; my second town, my fathers home land. Here is where the air calms me and the water rocks me.
The architecture in Morocco is fascinating. With the country itself being a melting pot of culture, this variable influence is evident in the styles of the buildings. It was here I felt the time had come to really get back into my field, and I began working as a freelance Architect.

In March 2018 After almost a year of working as a freelancer in Tangier (north of Morocco), I decided to move to Canada, where the natural beauty and creative flame burns. I worked shortly for the « sustainable buildings » of Montréal. But Europe, my relatives and friends missed me.

In march 2019, I decide to move  first to France for a short experience in an Architect office in Chambery.

Today I’m back home, Brussels, city of mixture, contrast, my hometown. The six years have been a real adventure full of discovery, sharing and travelling. I want to resurrect a place, and plant a project.
